Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead quality-control review of vouchers and journal entries produced by the centralized operations team in Shanghai.
  • •Independently manage payroll/salary accounting vouchers and related accruals, and perform month-end close activities.
  • •Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and perform quarterly variance analyses for stakeholders.
  • •Coordinate annual statutory reporting with external accounting firms, ensuring timely and accurate sign-off using IFRS and J-GAAP.
  • •Execute Finance-related SOX controls and manage cross-functional coordination with local business teams and external partners (banks, legal advisors, authorities).

Key Requirements

  • •8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a multinational enterprise (retail, FMCG, or consumer goods).
  • •Strong technical expertise in both J-GAAP and IFRS, with experience collaborating with external audit firms (Big 4 a plus).
  • •Native Japanese and professional English proficiency (written and verbal) to coordinate across local and regional teams.
  • •Ability to work autonomously, manage end-to-end tasks, and communicate decisions and impact clearly.
  • •Familiarity with modern ERPs (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and reconciliation/expense/AI tools is highly valued.
