Serve as the on-the-ground accounting expert in Tokyo, partnering with local teams and a centralized operations team in Shanghai to ensure financial integrity. Own quality-control reviews for vouchers and journal entries, manage month-end close activities including payroll accounting, and prepare reconciliations and variance analyses. Coordinate annual statutory reporting with external accounting firms using IFRS and J-GAAP, and perform Finance-related SOX controls while liaising with external partners such as banks and legal advisors.
