Job Summary

Support Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Airframe Customer Support Engineering team by reviewing and approving engineering data for aircraft repairs and service bulletins. Perform detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue, and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity and ensure compliance. Research structural design requirements, investigate failures, and respond to safety-of-flight decisions. Develop and support application software to enable efficient engineering work, while performing the role 100% onsite in Seal Beach.

•Provide expertise for safety-of-flight decisions and develop temporary repair options when a permanent repair is not feasible.
•Develop, deploy, and support in-house and commercial application software to enable efficient engineering task performance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree within Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering discipline.
•5+ years of related work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles, including fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, and damage tolerance.
•Ability to use structural analysis to assess margins of safety and structural integrity for airframe repairs and service bulletins.
•Technical capability to research and prepare data supporting structural design requirements and continued airworthiness.
