Key Responsibilities

  • •Fabricate and erect assigned metalwork tasks using various metals and specified welding techniques.
  • •Set up and operate welding and fabricating equipment to complete jobs from blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders.
  • •Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with layout print specifications.
  • •Perform machining as needed (e.g., lathe, broaching tools, drilling, tapping) and maintain required tolerances.
  • •Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly manner and follow company safety regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 6 months of documented mechanic or industrial maintenance work experience (or being a graduate/student of an industrial maintenance training program).
  • •Capable of fabricating and erecting assigned tasks using metals including stainless steel, galvanized, and black iron.
  • •Able to perform TIG, ARC, and MIG welding in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead).
  • •Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools and shop equipment including metal shear, metal brake, drill press, metal lathe, plasma cutter, and oxy-acetylene torch.
  • •Able to read blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders; perform close-tolerance measurements using calipers and micrometers.
