Job Summary

Own structural dynamics and validation for robotic subsystems, translating operational requirements into validated engineering models and test methodologies. Define load cases and develop simulation/experimental methods to correlate shock, vibration, durability, acoustic performance, and control stability across the product lifecycle. Lead instrumentation, data acquisition, testing, model correlation, and reporting, while partnering with mechanical, controls, systems, and reliability engineers to resolve dynamics issues and improve durability and NVH performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Own structural dynamics and validation strategy by translating operational requirements into validated engineering models and test methodologies.
•Define structural loading environments and establish simulation and experimental validation methods for shock, vibration, durability, acoustic performance, and control stability.
•Define statistically representative load cases and maintain correlated structural dynamics, shock, and vibration models.
•Lead structural validation efforts: instrumentation, data acquisition, testing, model correlation, and reporting.
•Identify, investigate, and resolve structural dynamics issues impacting vibration, acoustic noise, fatigue life, or system stability.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
•Extensive experience in structural dynamics, vibration analysis, durability engineering, or mechanical validation.
•Experience developing correlated analytical and experimental structural models.
•Strong understanding of modal analysis, frequency response, shock, vibration, fatigue, and structural validation techniques.
•Experience designing and executing instrumentation plans, test setups, and data acquisition campaigns.
