Job Summary

Join Silvus Technologies as an R&D Test Engineer to develop testing infrastructure and validate MANET radios and wireless products under development. You’ll run lab and field tests, work with R&D and Engineering teams to understand performance requirements, troubleshoot, and qualify new designs. This onsite role in West Los Angeles offers exposure to cutting-edge wireless systems and instrumentation.

Job Function: QA, Test & Release Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Wireless communication system test operation, implementation, and maintenance.
•Assist in the maintenance, design, and implementation of testing software for automated testing and logging.
•Work closely with the R&D and Engineering teams to understand performance requirements and expected system behaviors, validate and assist in troubleshooting and qualification of new designs.
•Conduct lab testing using wireless channel emulators and other instruments.
•Conduct field testing to qualify system performance in a practical environment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
•Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience, specifically in embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python; OR a minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience including embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python with an advanced degree.
•Demonstrated experience in wireless/networking or an electronics manufacturing environment.
•Proven experience with lab instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
