Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection, and supervision activities on the Typhoon aircraft and its components.
  • •Assure maintenance is completed to schedule and in accordance with work packages and approved technical information; resolve faults and maintenance issues including configuration management.
  • •Perform tasked maintenance and diagnostic activities (e.g., inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests).
  • •Maintain personal task authorizations and log book currency; raise ad hoc work cards for found faults and support required oversight checks/tool control.
  • •Supervise the team, develop less experienced members through training and formal assessments (e.g., PDRs), and report impacts to the wider program; ensure staff competence and approvals for allocated tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or a military equivalent.
  • •Academic qualification minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 2 years working at Technician level prior to undertaking a Supervisor role, with breadth of experience validated via a Log Book.
  • •Aircraft platform training (On a/c requirement) and broad, in-depth product knowledge/competency within the technical area.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of aviation safety standards, approved technical data/procedures, and personal compliance with risk assessments, SHE policies, and procedures.
