Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as product owner for the MENA region, connecting local market realities to the company’s global product strategy.
  • •Develop deep understanding of the local payments ecosystem, including consumer behavior, payment methods, financial infrastructure, regulatory requirements, market practices, and competitive landscape.
  • •Own country and market expansion initiatives end-to-end: discovery, partner assessment, operational readiness, launch, and scale.
  • •Design and evolve payment solutions across the complete financial flow (pay-in, settlement, FX, refunds, chargebacks, reconciliation, reporting, and remittance).
  • •Coordinate across Engineering and technical teams and partner with Regulatory, Legal, Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Operations to deliver compliant, operationally sustainable solutions and integrations.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid experience in Product Management with ownership of products or complex initiatives from discovery and strategy through execution and launch.
  • •Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, complex environments and make decisions end-to-end.
  • •Strong business acumen connecting product decisions to commercial and financial outcomes (e.g., TPV, revenue, gross profit).
  • •Cross-functional experience working with Engineering and business/operational stakeholders throughout discovery, solution design, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • •Experience in payments/fintech/banking or financial services, with familiarity of regulatory environments; based in South Africa and comfortable collaborating across countries and time zones.
