Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform access control operations at TVA facilities.
  • •Screen and process visitors using X-ray machines and metal detectors (WTMD/HHMD).
  • •Conduct vehicular and foot security patrols; perform traffic control and direction.
  • •Monitor alarms, respond to incidents, and serve as primary security response personnel during civil disturbances and emergencies.
  • •Maintain safety records by completing reports, safeguarding keys, and providing testimony when required; respond to injury/illness until emergency personnel arrive.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Meet at least one qualification: 3+ years security experience (past 5 years), or 3+ years military/National Guard service, or an associate degree+ in security/law enforcement, or completion of a police officer basic training academy.
  • •Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
  • •Pass background screening, psychological evaluation, and drug testing, and complete required initial training.
  • •Meet all TVA suitability criteria prior to assignment.
  • •Comply with TVA Personnel Security requirements and USCIS regulations; temporary foreign workers with non-immigrant visas may not be assigned unless explicitly authorized by TVA.
