Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver equipment, products, and materials to customers safely and on time in a professional manner.
  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and follow all traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Load and unload using specialized equipment when warranted, following loading crew signals and arranging trailers for optimal loading patterns.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading, and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical (vehicles driven are over 10k lbs) and required background and drug testing per federal/state transportation regulations.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and maneuver truck/trailer for loading and unloading.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and spend prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab; able to travel frequently.
