Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain user-space application daemons/services for the firmware runtime environment (process/event handling, polling/monitoring, file synchronization).
  • •Work on the Insight cloud agent subsystem (CloudAgent, ConfigAgent, DiscoveryAgent), including REST API handlers and device-to-cloud communication with SSL/TLS and NAL bridging.
  • •Enhance the Cisco IOS-style CLI framework and configuration database engine for startup-config/running-config, including new CLI commands and configuration persistence.
  • •Build and maintain the web-based management interface for switch configuration and monitoring, covering both legacy jQuery UI and newer Bootstrap UI.
  • •Implement SNMP MIB support (v1/v2c/v3) and perform testing/firmware validation and debugging using serial console, SSH debug shell, packet captures, and log analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • •4–7 years of professional experience in embedded or systems software development.
  • •Proficiency in C programming on Linux for user-space applications (shared libraries, IPC: sockets, shared memory, signals).
  • •Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet, ARP, DHCP) and ability to use Wireshark or tcpdump for packet-level debugging.
  • •Experience with REST API development in C, embedded HTTP servers, or SSL/TLS integration; also comfortable with GNU Make, cross-compilation (ARM or MIPS), and Git.
