Key Responsibilities

•Work with cross-functional teams to qualify alternate battery cells, electronic modules, and component-based battery packs, including second source development for subcomponents.
•Provide ongoing technical platform support for existing battery products and implement design changes.
•Identify and lead value initiatives associated with the product line.
•Use lab test equipment (data collection equipment, power supply, electronic load) to conduct testing and employ Design of Experiments to develop and qualify processes.
•Perform production line audits with travel, and lead investigations and root-cause analysis for manufacturing issues or post-sales feedback while monitoring warranty rates.

Key Requirements

•Above 5 years of product design experience with a mechanical major and bachelor’s degree.
•Experience designing mechanical parts, including using 3D and 2D drawing software.
•Familiarity with mechanical design criteria and related manufacturing processes (plastic parts, stamping parts, PCBA).
•Familiarity with the performance and manufacturing process of lithium battery packs, cells, and BMS.
•Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, with strong analytical, communication, project management, and self-management skills.
