Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property damage claims requiring knowledge of coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages by researching information from insured, third parties, and external sources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Identify coverage concerns, review prior loss history, and determine/create SIU referrals when appropriate.
  • •Determine and negotiate complex claims settlements within authority limits and collaborate on settlements outside authority.
  • •Maintain accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process; support CAT response and travel as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar estimating tools/platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
