Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform instrumentation and control work with strict adherence to safety procedures and best practices, and develop and present safety topics.
  • •Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant instrumentation systems and equipment, including transmitters and related devices.
  • •Support routine and emergency maintenance and compliance activities on plant control systems across weekends, holidays, and scheduled shifts.
  • •Develop technical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain plant control systems and communication networks (DCS, BESS controls, and PLCs).
  • •Learn and support operations such as start-up/shut-down coverage, control operator shift coverage, entering WRs and SRs into MAXIMO, and communicating LOTO requests.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program.
  • •Technical skills to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • •Ability to calibrate and maintain field instrumentation, including transmitters, control valves, valve positioners, and thermocouples.
  • •Knowledge of power plant processes (e.g., material handling, water/air side equipment, emission controls, turbine/generator).
  • •Proficient computer skills and ability to use resources such as drawings, instruction books, calibration data sheets, and MAXIMO.
