Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure all DCSA facilities meet and maintain applicable Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) standards.
  • •Investigate, report, and mitigate mishaps and hazards to prevent recurrence; track hazards from identification to closure.
  • •Implement proactive risk-reduction programs, including ergonomic stressor identification and job hazard analyses.
  • •Produce accurate reports and documentation, including safety assessment, mishap/hazard investigation, ergonomic assessment, and monthly status reports.
  • •Serve as the regional SOH expert—provide training/consultation to DCSA personnel and support safety oversight for facility renovations and MILCON meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •7-10 years of direct, hands-on experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) or a related field with certified risk management/health and safety management.
  • •Active SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • •Current and valid Driver’s License.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related safety field.
  • •Desired: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (or equivalent).
