Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform regulatory horizon scanning and help implement existing and upcoming regulatory requirements, assessing impact and advising first-line teams.
  • •Independently partner with first-line Product, Legal, and Product Compliance teams to ensure new products, features, and market expansions are compliant by design.
  • •Draft, update, and roll out Wise Europe regulatory compliance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • •Ensure transparent regulator engagement and fulfill notification obligations within scope (e.g., major incident reportability assessments, new product notifications).
  • •Identify compliance gaps, propose pragmatic remediation, and collaborate with teams to ensure sustainable remediation implementation, including training and mentoring.

Salary: EUR 3,750 - 5,200 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in a second-line compliance function within an authorized payment institution, e-money institution, or similar progressive financial institution.
  • •Strong grasp of the payments industry regulatory ecosystem, with ability to quickly master Belgian and European prudential laws.
  • •Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate as a cross-functional generalist across different compliance domains.
  • •Exceptional ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical arguments for product and engineering teams.
