Key Responsibilities

  • •Own civil, structural, and architectural reference design standards for Anthropic’s data center portfolio and establish repeatable design elements.
  • •Lead front-end test fits and site feasibility studies to evaluate structural approaches, site constraints, utility interfaces, and code compliance.
  • •Review and approve CSA deliverables from design-build partners and AE firms across SD/DD/CD/IFC stages, including drawings and calculations.
  • •Integrate CSA designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and IT teams to support high-density AI compute and direct liquid-cooling systems.
  • •Provide technical oversight during construction and commissioning, resolving field issues and supporting standardization across concurrent projects globally.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years delivering mission-critical facility infrastructure, including at least 6 years in hyperscale or large-scale data center CSA design.
  • •Deep expertise in civil site development, structural design, and architectural programming for industrial or mission-critical facilities.
  • •Experience as an owner’s engineer or lead technical authority setting standards, approving deliverables, and directing external design teams.
  • •Proficiency with building codes/standards including IBC, IFC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, FM Global, and local jurisdiction requirements across geographies.
  • •Experience with high-density compute environments, including accommodating direct liquid-cooling systems, overhead busway, and dense rack deployments.
