Own the end-to-end architecture of a monitoring product that helps customers understand their network topology via API and UI. Build scalable account/device/service hierarchies, discovery workflows, and performant alert history experiences. Define contract-driven schemas across classification, telemetry, and alert services, enforce their quality, and establish patterns for rendering complex network graphs. Collaborate across teams, resolve cross-team dependencies, and mentor engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the monitoring product’s end-to-end API and UI architecture, including roadmap for scaling and evolution.
•Surface full account and device hierarchy (company through site/probe/collector/device/service) with dependency relationships in a navigable way at scale.
•Lead discovery and inventory experiences for host discovery, system discovery, and onboarding new telemetry sources.
•Build the alert history screens to create, edit, and review alerts through the alert service.
•Define data contracts between monitoring and dependent classification, telemetry, and alert services; set technical patterns for performant topology visualizations and mentor engineers across the team.

Key Requirements

•Deep understanding of network and system topology, including how devices and services relate for troubleshooting live networks.
•Production experience with high-volume, latency-sensitive infrastructure, including distributed messaging/event streaming (e.g., Kafka) and search/indexing at scale (e.g., OpenSearch) or equivalents.
•Comfort with contract-driven development across teams using schema/interface definitions like protobuf.
•Working knowledge of production network telemetry (e.g., SNMP, syslog, ICMP, OpenTelemetry) and judgment to interpret signals for real environments.
•Strong cloud and systems experience across at least two of AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a track record of owning architectural decisions and durable outcomes.
