Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide detailed electrical design and specifications for data center and facility power equipment and systems (power distribution, switchgear, lighting, UPS, generators, ATS, power monitoring, data/phone wiring, and grounding).
  • •Support facility technicians by troubleshooting electrical equipment and controllers.
  • •Design, operate, and troubleshoot electrical components and systems, including load flow analysis and electrical equipment evaluation.
  • •Ensure electrical systems interface correctly with mechanical/electrical systems, including compatibility with facility power budgets.
  • •Coordinate installations and maintenance with local electrical utilities and ensure designs meet applicable codes and regulations, including code reviews using NFPA and IBC guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or other engineering discipline).
  • •3+ years of professional experience on electrical projects, including power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, and/or generators.
  • •Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • •Ability to read power and control schematics and highly technical equipment O&M manuals.
  • •Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and industrial pumps, plus experience with MODBUS controls and medium-voltage distribution.
