Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess patient conditions and determine treatment plans per local protocols and EMT-Paramedic guidelines.
  • •Provide triage and care for students unable to participate due to medical or musculoskeletal issues and support return-to-training decisions.
  • •Respond to, stabilize, and coordinate EMS activation for emergencies and summarize injuries and care rendered to receiving EMS responders.
  • •Serve as part of a multidisciplinary human performance team to support student health, performance, and readiness.
  • •Maintain accurate, complete, and timely injury and treatment records, including rehabilitation progress and medical releases, and provide medical information to Special Warfare medical staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Current National EMT-Paramedic Certification (National Registry) or state EMT-Paramedic license at the paramedic level or higher.
  • •Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • •Successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited paramedic program (or a CoAEMSP “Letter of Review”) within the past two years, plus psychomotor competency portfolio for eligible programs.
  • •At least three (3) years of experience as a paramedic within the last five (5) years.
  • •Work ability for non-standard/rotating shifts and rotating duties, including travel away from the normal duty station to support training requirements.
