Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, organize, and execute explosives operations supporting current and future product programs.
  • •Support hands-on explosives operations across lab, test, and field environments.
  • •Contribute to range safety, including blast/fragmentation considerations and mitigation strategies (e.g., quantity-distance evaluations).
  • •Review and enforce explosives safety procedures and operating instructions, ensuring personnel understand and follow them.
  • •Oversee explosives storage (inventory, security, inspections, and forecasting) and improve training and operational readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive explosives operations experience, including hands-on explosives safety, storage, transportation, and test or field execution.
  • •Execute or support explosives operations in operational, test, range, or field environments.
  • •Working knowledge of explosives/energetic materials compliance across DoD explosives safety, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA, and related requirements—applying them in real operating environments.
  • •Experience developing or enforcing SOPs, safe operating practices, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (DoD Secret or DOE L) and travel up to 25%–50%.
