Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead application performance studies across enterprise servers, GPU-accelerated systems, and data center storage platforms.
  • •Deploy customer-representative workloads and build test plans with hypotheses, realistic configurations, controls, and repeatable methods.
  • •Instrument and trace I/O from application through the software and storage stack to the SSD, then analyze throughput, latency, scaling, consistency, and power.
  • •Isolate bottlenecks across applications, operating systems, drivers, networks, PCIe, NVMe, and storage devices; recommend software, system, or product changes based on findings.
  • •Build automation, test harnesses, and analysis tools; evaluate new SSD features and architectures and communicate results to engineering, customer, and executive audiences.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8 years of experience.
  • •Extensive experience leading complex systems performance, application benchmarking, or workload characterization work.
  • •Hands-on experience deploying and debugging data center applications on Linux systems.
  • •Deep understanding of system performance and the storage I/O path, including Linux I/O, file systems, block storage, NVMe, and PCIe.
  • •Proficiency with performance and system-analysis tools such as perf, eBPF/bpftrace, application profilers, and fio, plus automation/analysis using Python (or another language).
