Job Summary

Lead the live operations of a AAA free-to-play, cross-platform action game’s online services. Partner with Product Management to deliver runtime features and pipelines for learning, optimization, and engagement. Direct frontend engineering while managing Backend Engineering and Build Engineering teams, owning release management, launch readiness, observability, incident response, and CI/CD automation. Build experimentation, telemetry, remote configuration, and player engagement tooling, including safety and anti-toxicity systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Set the technical vision and roadmap for online services.
•Manage Backend Engineering and Build Engineering leads and their teams.
•Own release management cadence, patch/hotfix orchestration, and safe rollout.
•Own launch readiness and live health, including capacity/scale/availability testing, observability, and incident response.
•Direct frontend systems development for authentication/presence, matchmaking, social features, commerce, and player safety/anti-toxicity.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years of leadership on AAA cross-platform Live Services games.
•2+ years of leadership in frontend systems for AAA cross-platform Live Services games.
•Experience operating a shipped live service, including release management, incident response, and scale/availability.
•Fluency in Unreal Engine, including core object model, referencing patterns, threading patterns, and Online Subsystem.
•Strong command of distributed backend architecture and software patterns for maintainable, debuggable systems.
