Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain mill machinery such as pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers/chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
•Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, including inspecting equipment to find malfunctions.
•Troubleshoot issues to boost equipment reliability and implement safe, reliable fixes that maximize production uptime.
•Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
•Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements

•Provide superior troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
•Communicate effectively and collaborate with maintenance professionals, operations, production staff, and supervisors.
•Have experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment; lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset.
•Use basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
•Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems and effectively use a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.
