Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop electrical drawings and specification documents for architects, contractors, and building owners.
  • •Prepare electrical designs for transportation-related facilities including transit stations, tunnels, underground structures, roadway/highway facilities, ventilation systems, and traction/utility/emergency power interfaces.
  • •Design and coordinate electrical systems such as power distribution (normal/emergency/standby), tunnel/roadway lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm and life-safety systems, and low-voltage systems (communications/SCADA interfaces/CCTV/access control).
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines and incorporate design requirements with equipment sizing, cabling, AC/DC panel design, and conduit design strategies.
  • •Provide construction phase services including reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, field visits, and coordinating with contractors; participate in client meetings and design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design work for capital projects in building facilities and/or transportation.
  • •Exposure to electrical engineering principles, design/build, and permitting/project-related issues.
  • •Experience with electrical infrastructure planning, design, and construction management across rehabilitation, new design, and construction projects.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license and demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills; experience with technical writing and design software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, OpenBuildings, SKM/ETAP, AGI).
