Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling, delivering, and providing ongoing service for fee income and retail banking products and services.
  • •Establish and update understanding of client financial needs using profiling and personal financial planning analysis; work with investment account advisors on asset allocation and investment objectives.
  • •Stay current on economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends, and market/business issues affecting mass affluent clients; serve as a personal financial planning/advisory resource.
  • •Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, marketing products, managing sales processes, and maintaining sales activity/pipeline in the contact management system.
  • •Coordinate with internal Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) specialists and external centers of influence to deliver an integrated approach to client development and ensure a compliant portfolio within audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
  • •Minimum five years of financial services experience working with clients dealing with banking, investments, and/or retail lending, or one year in a financial client relationship manager role.
  • •Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, investment management, and asset allocation concepts for the mass affluent market.
  • •Active and maintained Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7, and Series 66 (or 63 and 65 in lieu), plus applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable); must be obtained within 100–150 days and be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant with 30 days of employment.
  • •Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship management, and communication skills, including proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
