Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Outage Manager for scheduled and forced outages at assigned plant(s), including planning and execution of non-scheduled outages managed by plant maintenance staff.
  • •Provide supplementary construction management support for outages at other plants when available and approved.
  • •Ensure outage/project execution meets cost, schedule, quality, craft health and safety, and environmental compliance in accordance with the Luminant Outage Playbook.
  • •Support yearly outage activities using long-range planning/estimating to develop and track accurate outage schedules.
  • •Manage procurement and cost tracking and oversee execution of outage activities during pre and post outage planning/execution.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • •5+ years of experience managing unit outages for maintenance and repair of fossil power production equipment.
  • •10+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of fossil power production equipment.
  • •Knowledge of fossil power plant equipment disassembly/reassembly techniques, particularly steam turbine, combustion turbine, and boiler components.
  • •Experience interfacing with contract craft personnel and equipment manufacturer field representatives.
