Job Summary

Lead the health actuarial work for client teams by managing actuarial projects and client relationships. Influence health benefits strategy and financial direction, drive IBNP reserve development, and perform model reviews to evaluate cost-saving scenarios. Communicate actuarial results and actuarial opinions in financial meetings, support benchmarking discussions, and provide peer review and mentorship to less experienced actuaries to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead actuary on client teams, managing actuarial projects and client relationship work.
•Influence clients’ strategic and financial direction in health benefits and frame results in the marketplace context.
•Project savings/costs for health benefits and applicable changes; review health care budgets and contribution setting.
•Make statements of actuarial opinion and lead analysis for deliverables; take direct responsibility for actuarial deliverables.
•Perform IBNP reserve development, review models for cost-saving scenarios, and provide peer review to ensure deliverable quality.

Key Requirements

•FSA/ASA (Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation required.
