Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and optimize gas turbine static and rotary systems for life, weight, manufacturability, and cost.
  • •Perform GD&T tasks, define assembly procedures, and prepare drawings and manufacturing guidelines.
  • •Execute FMECA and FRACAS activities to support safety, operability, and corrective actions assessments.
  • •Review designs and simulations and generate testing guidelines; support validation planning.
  • •Identify project risks and plan mitigation while developing junior engineers and providing feedback.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • •Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design, integrity, and heat transfer.
  • •5–15 years of experience designing gas turbine externals/accessories and performing related mechanical sizing activities.
  • •Proficiency with design packages such as Solidworks or Siemens NX (or similar) and PLM tools like Teamcenter or Windchill (or similar).
  • •Experience with FEA or lower-order simulation methods and working knowledge of programming in C and/or Matlab/Simulink (or similar).
