Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary technical expert in community channels, answering complex questions about Mojo and MAX and troubleshooting issues.
  • •Triage and manage GitHub Issues and Pull Requests across open source repositories and lead weekly roundtable contribution review sessions.
  • •Contribute to the development and execution of Modular’s open source strategy, including identifying opportunities for open sourcing new products.
  • •Shape Modular’s packaging strategy and help build a packaging ecosystem for projects built using Mojo and MAX.
  • •Identify patterns in community feedback, escalate insights to product and engineering teams, and represent Modular at conferences and developer events.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in technical community management, developer relations, or developer advocacy.
  • •Software engineering background (2+ years) with hands-on experience in systems programming, AI/ML infrastructure, Python, or related technologies.
  • •Strong understanding of open source development practices, including GitHub workflows, contribution management, and community governance.
  • •Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects with a track record of successful community engagement.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to improve developer experience via community feedback.
