Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage purchasing activities for assigned goods and/or raw materials, including sourcing, negotiations, order placement, and follow-up.
  • •Negotiate prices and lead times with non-corporate-contract vendors and resolve quotation conflicts.
  • •Review drawings and evaluate specifications to determine material quantities and appropriate procurement sources.
  • •Plan and place purchase orders to align material flow with plant demand using MPS/MRP, consignment stock, and kanban where required.
  • •Monitor supplier delivery performance using KPIs, address shortage periods by researching alternatives, and coordinate with Production to prevent line stoppages.

  • •Experience improving NWC by extending payment terms, reducing inventory, and agreeing stocking policies.
