Key Responsibilities

  • •Orchestrate end-to-end specialty fiber supply chain from fiber to finished yarn, ensuring seamless, resilient, and efficient flow.
  • •Lead and mentor a team of sourcing managers, quality engineers, and production experts, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • •Develop supplier ecosystems by identifying, vetting, and onboarding mills and processing partners that meet quality, capacity, sustainability, and labor standards.
  • •Architect and oversee the quality management system, including standards, testing protocols, approval workflows, and measurable quality benchmarks.
  • •Serve as the central hub for fiber-related technical and strategic guidance across sourcing, production, quality, design, and executive stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Fiber Engineering, Material Science, Supply Chain Management, Color Chemistry, or a related field.
  • •15+ years of experience in specialty fiber sourcing, yarn production, quality management, or coloration for apparel, accessories, or home textiles.
  • •Deep technical knowledge of natural fibers (cashmere, merino, yak, alpaca, cotton) and spinning processes (woolen, worsted).
  • •Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring/developing talent in fast-paced retail or manufacturing environments.
  • •Strong cost analysis skills, including cost-per-kilogram modeling, yield optimization, landed cost analysis, and budget management.
