Key Responsibilities

  • •Define vehicle-wide security architecture, selecting and integrating space-qualified cryptographic devices and implementing secure boot, key storage, and red/black isolation.
  • •Develop and maintain system security requirements, verification plans, and certification artifacts (including DoD RMF and customer security clauses).
  • •Develop threat assessment models and tailored countermeasure approaches.
  • •Lead design, requirements management, and integration of space-vehicle and constellation-level networks (on-board LANs, inter-satellite mesh, and space-to-ground links) and define CONOPS/ICDs and networking requirements.
  • •Support customer, supplier, and government coordination for product/system-level cybersecurity and networking requirements, including reviewing supplier deliverables and influencing standards and risk-acceptance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement.
  • •5+ years experience working spacecraft/product security.
  • •Technical understanding of spacecraft avionics architectures and spacecraft flight software architectures, including embedded Linux.
  • •Technical understanding of product cybersecurity features including root of trust and secure boot.
  • •Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), including ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret) requiring U.S. citizenship.
