Key Responsibilities

  • •Own backend features end-to-end from proposing ideas and scoping projects to building APIs, dashboard experiences, and services
  • •Build reliable distributed systems, including queues and background workers to handle traffic spikes, retries, and failures
  • •Scale APIs and databases by improving performance, data integrity, and efficiency as usage grows
  • •Operate what you build with monitoring, safe deployments, and participation in the on-call rotation
  • •Work with support and customers to understand recurring problems and turn them into product improvements

Salary: USD 140,000 - 180,000

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend services in production
  • •Substantial experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems (retries, concurrency, partial failures)
  • •Ability to design systems from scratch and think through rollout
  • •Understanding of cloud infrastructure and service operations (deployments, observability, capacity, debugging)
  • •Experience designing APIs and relational data models, diagnosing slow queries, and making safe database changes
