Job Summary

Deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health care to Australian Defence Force personnel within Lavarack Health Centre’s multidisciplinary team. Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and provide pre/post-deployment care. Perform assessments and interventions, manage medications, and develop treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions. Work Thursday and Friday (0730–1630) in a supportive, low-acuity secure ADF setting focused on clinical excellence and wellbeing.

Key Requirements

•Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
•Credentialing with ACMHN or a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or recognised international equivalent).
•Minimum two years’ post-graduate mental health experience, including comprehensive assessments and delivery of ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’.
•Experience with comprehensive assessments and ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule.
•Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) and Australian Citizenship to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
