Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify systemic security gaps in codebase and engineering workflows; design and ship durable solutions with engineering teams
  • •Build security tooling, automation, and code-level controls (custom linters, static analysis rules, automated checks) to shift left the cost of catching issues
  • •Conduct in-depth code reviews and security design reviews for major product initiatives, engaging in architectural tradeoffs
  • •Drive threat modeling and security assessments for new features; translate security requirements into actionable engineering guidance
  • •Triage, track, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities with product engineering teams and contribute to penetration testing and bug bounty programs

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on experience in application security and security engineering (not primarily consulting, audit, or compliance)
  • •Ability to operate independently with good judgment in a fast-moving environment and balance speed with quality
  • •Strong communication skills that make security understandable to engineers and demonstrate business impact
  • •Track record of shipping security tooling or automation that benefited multiple teams
  • •Genuine engineering depth to read, reason about, and review code at the level needed to find real bugs and root causes, in TypeScript and Python
