Job Summary

Provide legal representation to USAA members, insured clients, and USAA entities across all phases of civil litigation related to Property & Casualty covered losses. Manage a caseload of simple to moderate insurance defense matters through arbitration, trial, and possible appeal; may support complex litigation. Appear in court for arbitrations, trials, and mediations; conduct settlement negotiations; prepare pleadings and trial documents; and stay current on statutes, case law, and trial-related technology.

•Provide legal advice; develop and implement legal strategy and budget projections for assigned cases.
•Prepare legal pleadings, motions, memoranda, and trial briefs; conduct direct settlement negotiations.

•Ability to perform online legal research.
