Job Summary

Senior Internal Auditor will lead and execute audits across Mercury’s finance and accounting functions, assess risk, test internal controls, and ensure regulatory compliance (SOX, GAAP, IFRS). You’ll scope complex audits, coach teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and report findings, becoming a subject matter expert on Mercury’s finance processes within a fintech/SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Scope and plan audits across finance and accounting functions; identify risk and design audit approach.
•Conduct process walkthroughs and execute audit testing to validate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
•Assess compliance with Mercury’s regulatory and financial reporting obligations and socialize audit issues.
•Collaborate with teams to develop action plans, track remediation, and perform follow-up testing.
•Other duties as assigned by Internal Audit leadership.

Key Requirements

•Experience scope and planning of new, complex audits; leading audit teams and coaching team members.
•Experience in leading finance and accounting audits with knowledge of regulatory reporting (SOX, GAAP, IFRS).
•Working knowledge of laws, regulations and risk management standards for financial services.
•Ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and work cross-functionally to drive time-sensitive deliverables and reporting.
•Obtained related certifications (CISA, CIA, CPA, etc).
