Job Summary

Help protect the UK’s critical defence infrastructure by delivering non-guarding security assurance across VIVO. You’ll conduct audits, health checks, and compliance reviews, support investigations into incidents, misconduct, fraud, and policy breaches, and assist with personnel security and pre-employment screening. Working with the General Counsel, Security Managers, DIO stakeholders, and external partners, you’ll provide guidance on information, personnel, and physical security while promoting a positive security culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Support security assurance activities by conducting health checks, audits, and compliance reviews across VIVO offices and operational sites.
•Maintain security governance by ensuring security arrangements align with Ministry of Defence, DIO, government, and VIVO security policies.
•Support investigations into security incidents, misconduct, fraud, and policy breaches by gathering and analysing evidence and producing investigation reports.
•Assist personnel security activities with security clearances and pre-employment screening while maintaining confidential records.
•Provide trusted advice and raise security awareness by supporting managers and employees on physical, personnel, and information security, fraud prevention, and risk assessments.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Handle highly confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.
•Remain calm, organised, and objective while managing competing priorities independently.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience supporting investigations, audits, compliance, or security assurance activities.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce clear reports and engage stakeholders at all levels.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of personnel security and UK security vetting processes would be an advantage.
