Key Responsibilities

  • •Design high voltage battery pack components from start to finish across multiple aircraft programs in both commercial and defense applications.
  • •Collaborate with CAE engineers, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure success of designs and the product.
  • •Provide hands-on prototyping, build, and root cause support throughout the entire design cycle.
  • •Work closely with integration and certification teams to ensure the product meets all FAA certification requirements.
  • •Push the boundaries of conventional battery design to meet the stringent design requirements of aerospace applications.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • •5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in high voltage battery design for automotive or aerospace.
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals (structural design, materials, statics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluids, etc).
  • •Solid background in CAD (NX experience preferred), tolerance stack analysis, and 2D drafting with GD&T.
  • •Experience developing parts with various manufacturing processes in both prototype and mass production settings; Hands-on prototype and build experience.
