Lead the design of high voltage battery pack components for multiple aircraft programs, collaborating with CAE, quality, testing, supply chain and manufacturing to deliver aero-grade batteries. Provide hands-on prototyping and root-cause analysis across the design cycle, ensuring FAA certification readiness and pushing advanced battery design for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

•Design high voltage battery pack components from start to finish across multiple aircraft programs in both commercial and defense applications.
•Collaborate with CAE engineers, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure success of designs and the product.
•Provide hands-on prototyping, build, and root cause support throughout the entire design cycle.
•Work closely with integration and certification teams to ensure the product meets all FAA certification requirements.
•Push the boundaries of conventional battery design to meet the stringent design requirements of aerospace applications.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
•5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in high voltage battery design for automotive or aerospace.
•Strong engineering fundamentals (structural design, materials, statics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluids, etc).
•Solid background in CAD (NX experience preferred), tolerance stack analysis, and 2D drafting with GD&T.
•Experience developing parts with various manufacturing processes in both prototype and mass production settings; Hands-on prototype and build experience.
