Job Summary

Join the Trane Data Center Services team to travel across North America and support on-site data center cooling infrastructure. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex HVAC and chiller systems (air-cooled and water-cooled), including screw and centrifugal compressor technologies, while responding to emergency equipment failures. You’ll also perform startup, commissioning, preventive/corrective maintenance, verify system operation, and keep detailed service records in line with safety and customer requirements.

•Travel to support data center cooling infrastructure across North America, including startup, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and emergency response.
•Diagnose and repair complex HVAC and chiller systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled equipment.
•Support field activities involving screw and centrifugal compressor technologies.
•Respond to critical service events, equipment failures, and customer emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
•Maintain accurate service records, field reports, and documentation while following safety policies, customer site requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of HVAC experience, including mission-critical, large-tonnage, or complex chiller environments.
•Hands-on experience with startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of mission-critical cooling equipment.
•Strong knowledge of thermal cooling systems including air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, pumps, hydronic systems, and cooling towers.
•Experience supporting screw and centrifugal compressor technologies and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues affecting cooling system performance and reliability.
•Ability to travel 75% plus and hold a valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations.
