Key Responsibilities

  • •Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with medical guidelines; approve or escalate as needed.
  • •Approve pharmacy purchase requisitions and stock requests based on budget, necessity, and policy compliance; monitor inventory movement.
  • •Validate medication charges for insurance and billing, ensuring compliance with payer and reimbursement policies; coordinate with billing/finance for corrections.
  • •Ensure approvals comply with healthcare regulations and internal policies; maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
  • •Process approvals in HIS/ERP, keep accurate records of approvals/rejections, and generate management reports; coordinate with pharmacists, physicians, and finance to resolve discrepancies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • •Prior experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare approvals (preferred).
  • •Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and hospital workflows.
  • •Attention to detail with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • •Familiarity with HIS/ERP systems and understanding of compliance and audit requirements.
