Key Responsibilities

•Perform detailed assessments of hand and upper limb function, range of motion, strength, sensation, and dexterity.
•Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, medical history, and surgical protocols.
•Provide therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, splinting, scar management, edema control, and neuromuscular re-education.
•Design and fabricate custom static and dynamic orthoses (splints) for protection, support, or functional use.
•Collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate upper-extremity rehabilitation into overall patient care.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy OR Direct entry of a recognized program with attainment of a MSc degree in Occupational Therapy
•Minimum of 5 years experience in hand therapy
•Experience treating hand injuries or conditions
•Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
•Must have valid UAE license (Department of Health)
