Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop switching devices for US markets, executing product development projects in accordance with UL standards.
  • •Lead pre-launch and pro-launch initiatives, driving development of new product variants and technologies.
  • •Own electromechanical design activities including current-carrying path, contact system, operating mechanisms, arc containment, insulation system, busbars, enclosure design, and sheet metal components.
  • •Develop and execute test plans (e.g., short-circuit withstand, temperature rise, dielectric withstand, endurance/mechanical life, overload, making & breaking), define acceptance criteria, analyze results, and perform root cause analysis.
  • •Modify and sustain existing products using Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO), and conduct reliability assessments including DFMEA, Process FMEA, and related evaluations to support reliability improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • •3–6 years of experience designing and developing electro-mechanical products.
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage (LV) electrical products such as switches, circuit breakers, and disconnect switches.
  • •Proficiency in electro-mechanical component design, including molded, sheet metal, machined, and cast components, with knowledge of relevant standards (UL, CSA, IEC).
  • •Experience with DFMEA, Design Reviews, DFM/DFA, Root Cause Analysis, and Engineering Change Management processes (preferred).
