Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain the embedded Linux BSP and Linux OS ecosystem for aerospace-grade hardware. Collaborate with FPGA, hardware, and systems teams to deliver robust embedded software across multiple boards, with a hybrid on-site/off-site work pattern in Aguadilla, PR. You’ll contribute to build tooling, kernel, root filesystem, bootloaders, drivers, and BSPs while ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop and continuously enhance our customized Linux OS ecosystem and maintain ownership over build toolchain, kernel, root file system, bootloader, device drivers, and BSP for a wide variety of hardware boards.
•Contribute to the design, coding, testing, delivery and ongoing support for embedded Linux software systems.
•Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software issues.
•Prepare software builds for execution in a simulation environment, reference platforms and on the target hardware, following Collins Aerospace processes to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
•Contribute to engineering estimates for product features.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
•Proficiency with embedded C/C++ and scripting languages (Bash and Python)
•Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
•U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
•Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance
