Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with implementing policies and procedures related to Special Education programs.
  • •Maintain relationships with state/regional/district-level special education leaders and develop contacts with related service providers.
  • •Request student special education records from resident school districts and verify compliance and currency.
  • •Support all special education reporting (school, local, state, and federal) and work on compliance issues with the Special Education Director, teachers, and HOS.
  • •Track and inform teachers of IEP compliance dates; coordinate entry ARD/IEP meetings and distribute IEPs and evaluations to teachers; manage and organize special education records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
  • •Great organizational and time management skills.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience using databases; web proficiency.
  • •Preferred: Louisiana state Department of Education Special Education Teacher Certification; Desired: Diagnostician Certification.
