Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct hatchery operations to achieve the highest quality chicks and hatch rate at the lowest cost.
  • •Ensure animal welfare compliance and that tech advisors and contract producers follow guidelines.
  • •Plan production, spending, and capital improvement projects; prepare the yearly budget and control costs.
  • •Prepare monthly performance reports and communicate egg fertility and hatching residue results to the breeder department as needed.
  • •Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (Company and OSHA guidelines, DOT regulations, environmental regulations) and complete required quality assurance checks.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s Degree or completion of a Vocational/Technical specialty certification/licensure program in a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • •Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • •SAP experience preferred.
