Key Responsibilities

  • •Coach safety, quality, and productivity, lead start/end-of-shift briefings, and ensure compliance with safe working practices and up-to-date documentation.
  • •Supervise production team members in the Powertrain (Drive Unit) shop and interface with Process and Maintenance Engineers to improve manufacturing performance.
  • •Oversee material handling and material flow (receiving dock to warehouse to line feed locations), including managing material claims and supporting supplier quality systems.
  • •Implement Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives, conduct TPS audits, and support problem resolution at the appropriate level.
  • •Manage production schedules, approve/maintain training plans and appraisals, handle disciplinary matters per policy, and operate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other production IT systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Powertrain Drive Unit experience preferred).
  • •5+ years of experience in automotive Powertrain (HV and Drive Unit) manufacturing preferred.
  • •5+ years of related experience in automotive manufacturing and Lean manufacturing preferred.
  • •3+ years of direct leadership experience preferred.
  • •Experience with 5S, Kaizen, and Lean methodologies; proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Project/PowerPoint/Word and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) is preferred.
