Own an entire technical domain end-to-end as a deeply hands-on Staff-level Chief Engineer. Architect and build systems, set the technical bar through code and review, and lead the engineers and leads within your domain pods without becoming a pure manager. Partner closely with your Domain PM, run a pod directly, and drive measurable outcomes for AI-first contact center and AI-native consumer banking experiences.

•Architect and build the systems for your domain, writing code and setting the technical standard by example.
•Ship and review work while holding the line on quality and velocity across your domain pods.

•Partner with your Domain PM to deliver domain outcomes and measurable impact.
•Lead an AI-native way of working by embedding AI development tools and building with frontier models as standard practice.

Key Requirements

•Be a senior-most individual contributor (Staff level) or hands-on technical founder who consistently builds in the codebase.
•Own a critical domain or system end-to-end at high scale (or at a high-velocity Series A–D startup) and explain key technical decisions you made.
•Demonstrate deep technical credibility by driving major decisions across teams without relying on direct authority.
•Use frontier AI tools daily and rebuild your workflow around them (beyond basic copilots).
•BS/BA in Computer Science required; MS or PhD a strong plus; committed to working onsite in San Francisco.
