Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous science instruction in a virtual environment.
  • •Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and personalize learning for all students.
  • •Monitor student progress in the learning management system and maintain gradebooks to support academic integrity and placement decisions.
  • •Communicate with students and learning coaches/parents regularly and support learning coaches with curricular/instructional issues and basic troubleshooting.
  • •Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and travel periodically for professional development and testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Virginia state Department of Education Middle School (6–8) Science Teaching Certification.
  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •Active state teaching license.
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
  • •Ability to collaborate to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions.
