Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as an appointed Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for IC cyber systems developed by the engineering team.
  • •Report, document, and brief system status to ensure successful and timely progression through the clients’ RMF.
  • •Provide justification for security control implementation aligned to IC, AO, and NIST 800-53 requirements.
  • •Author System Security Plans (SSP) and System Security Test Plans (SSTP), and conduct self-assessments for systems under development.
  • •Support risk assessments, ensure remediation of findings assigned to engineering via SAR and PO&AM, and assist with transitions of ATO-granted systems to operations ISSO.

Key Requirements

  • •Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • •Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements with one of: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline plus 6 years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
  • •Minimum 3 years of IC (SCI) RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) experience, including differences between collateral vs. SCI authorization requirements.
  • •Ability to speak to the intent of NIST 800-53 security controls and perform security-related documentation and assessments (e.g., SSP/SSTP, remediation, risk assessment support).
